ADOC 2022 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
ADOC promotes innovation within the oil and gas sector and are actively engaged in several activities to reduce
our environmental footprint and ecological impact. Monitoring, protecting, and enhancing natural environments,
such as through mangrove planting and use of treated wastewater for the mangroves are measures put in place
to preserve the valuable ecosystems in our offshore fields. Some of the research and activities undertaken by
ADOC in previous years have been shared with the global community through journal publications and award
schemes to transfer knowledge and foster global innovation to promote sustainable development.
ADOC respects individuals and their fundamental human rights. ADOC refrains from engaging in acts that
violate the moral principles for acceptable human conduct. We forbid discrimination, forced work against
workers’ wishes and child labor. Within this reporting year, all our operations have been subject to human rights
reviews or human rights impacts assessments.
ADOC is committed to supporting a safe, resilient, and sustainable city by paying close attention to their
environmental, social, and economic impacts. For example, we proactively make every effort to minimize the
waste generated by our operations to reduce our environmental footprint and operational costs. We manage
our waste by following our ADOC Waste Management Procedure, which is in accordance with ADNOC HSE
Standards and the applicable regulatory laws on waste management for handling, storage, and disposal.
ADOC is committed to making investments in the security of our operations and provides an annual report on
our HSE performance. To maintain responsible production, ADOC always complies with ADNOC criteria and
adheres to international best practices.
In addition, ADOC is dedicated to making investments in the safety of our operations and continuously report
on our performance. We follow a stringent set of requirements that are in line with ADNOC requirements, and
also comply with follow international best practice to ensure responsible production.
ADOC consciously takes action to reduce carbon emissions from our operations. We adhere to a zero-flaring
policy and monitor all operations with respect to air emissions.
ADOC protects the marine environment through risk assessments and conservation activities (such as seagrass
and coral monitoring programs) around our offshore operations. Any incidents recorded are promptly reported
to ADNOC. We maintain our efforts, and no major spills were recorded in this reporting year.
ADOC ensures environmental and biodiversity protection through environmental impact assessments,
conservation, and monitoring activities, such as our mangrove plantation, and osprey monitoring. Awareness
sessions and training courses on topics such as megafauna and the Arabian Gulf marine environment were
organized by ADOC, facilitated by subject matter experts, and attended by relevant ADOC employees.
In accordance with national and international legislation, we operate in line with the highest standards of
governance, compliance, and ethics. We enforce these regulations throughout our supply chain.
