ADOC 2021 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
MS. MAISA ALWHEIBI
Supervisor
Planning and External Relations Department
I joined ADOC in December 2020 and my main responsibilities involve conducting administrative services for the PL department
and also the GM’s activities, providing secretary support to the Internal Tender Committee, regularly interacting and providing
correspondence to internal and external entities through letters and emails and managing all records that are produced.
My experience since joining ADOC has been excellent. The support and guidance received from colleagues, alongside the
accessibility of the internal PL filing systems, has enabled me to effectively learn through on-the-job training and complete
any new tasks received by the department efficiently without any hindrances. I also feel that this highly supportive culture
within the team has allowed me to develop within my role and progress from my initial position as a secretary to my current
position as supervisor. I am aware that the oil and gas industry has traditionally been male dominated, however, the
UAE is committed to achieve gender equality and advance the empowerment of women. From my experience at ADOC, the
organization supports the UAE vision and is strongly against the discrimination of any gender. This is particularly evident through
the provision of the same training and career progression opportunities to all employees, regardless of gender.
Having come from a sustainability background with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability, I understand
the importance of incorporating sustainability principles into day-to-day activities. The HSE inductions, ethics training and various
HSE related campaigns provided by ADOC to us as employees permits us to do this.
I am enthusiastic to be a part of ADOC and the strong-team spirit within the team has created a highly motivational and engaging
environment to work in.
Employee retention is paramount to ADOC’s success as an organization. All full-time employees are offered a comprehensive
benefits package in accordance with the UAE Federal Law No. (8) of 1980 (UAE Labor Law). As standard this comprises health
insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, compassionate leave, parental leave, retirement provisions, education assistance as
well as pension contributions for UAE nationals.
