          Seawater monitoring trend analysis by ADOC
          Given the above and considering that ADOC operates close to a pristine marine environment, we monitor the trends in seawater
          temperature changes and continue to take necessary precautionary measures to avoid to the extent possible, any additional
          adverse environmental impacts. The graph shows the surface sea water temperature trends in 1991 and between 2016 and 2021
          during peak summer (01 July to 30 September). The general trend shows an increase in surface sea water temperature from
          1991 to 2021. The highest surface sea water temperatures were recorded in 2021 with a maximum of 37.9°C on 04 August,
          and temperatures in excess of 37.0°C recorded on 20 consecutive days between 27 July and 15 August. Surface sea water in
          2021 also recorded a rapid increase in temperature of 2.6°C over a 12-day period between 16 and 27 July from 34.7 to 37.2°C.


          GHG EMISSIONS




          We currently measure our Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions. Scope 1 (direct emission) refers to the annual emissions
          of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) from ADOC’s field activities such as power generation,
          combustion, and flaring. Scope 2 (indirect emission) refers to those emissions from purchased utilities (activities associated with
          electricity, steam, heat, or cooling). Those purchased utilities comes from Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA),
          which is calculated based on the net energy consumed. In accordance with the “Method for Estimating Atmospheric Emissions
          from E&P Operations’’, GHG emissions were determined by converting the net energy consumed to tonnes of CO2. ADOC’s
          Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions decreased by 1% in 2021.
