PIANC recognize that ADOC’s Mangrove Planting Program
supports the idea of the Working-with-Nature philosophy,
an international initiative of PIANC to promote proactive,
integrated approach to sustainable navigation infrastructure
projects, and can promote the inclusion of Working-with-
Nature in future Navigational projects.
The PIANC also considers that the voluntary program has
brought about an improved understanding of the process
to achieve benefits by using mangroves for environmental
enhancement and shoreline protection against erosion.
As a result of this status, they have entitled us to use
the official PIANC ‘Supporter of Working-with-Nature’
acknowledgement for communication regarding the
Mangrove Planting Program.
