ADOC 2021 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

                                                         DR. MOHAMMAD EHSAN NAKAWA
Medical Director & Occupational Health Coordinator
                                                                             Administration Department

I have been working with ADOC for the last 41 years as a medical professional, and my role involves the management of
the various medical and occupational health issues within ADOC. I am responsible for overseeing the operation of the three
medical facilities available at ADOC and ensuring we align with company policies, ADNOC occupational health standards and
                 Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
Throughout 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic continued its rapid worldwide spread. We, as a medical team, have learnt from
2020 and have continued to provide rigorous precautionary and protective measures against the virus to protect not only
ADOC employees, but also the wider community. These have included creating awareness of the virus and its variants, providing
individuals with masks, gloves and hand-sanitizers, and ensuring these are available at all facilities and providing weekly mass PCR
testing free of charge to employees. All employees wishing to travel offshore are also required to undergo PCR testing and health
                 screening questionnaires beforehand.
We are administrating the COVID-19 vaccine and boosters from all our medical facilities onshore and offshore to those who
wish to receive their doses. In addition, we have also launched a campaign to encourage the uptake of the vaccine amongst
                 employees within the organization.
We understand that the pandemic has particularly taken a toll on mental health as a result of the sudden change in lifestyle and
routine. As a countermeasure, we have provided support and advice related to overcoming stress during this difficult time to
staff and on occasions, tailored this advice specific to the individual in need.
We regularly ensure that the measures we implement align with the changing COVID-19 regulations issued by the Department
of Health (DOH) and updates from ADNOC, and continue to safeguard the wellbeing of our staff.
Aside from the pandemic, ensuring the health and wellbeing of all employees at ADOC is a top priority. This has been evident
throughout my time with the company. We take pride in providing all of our staff with thorough medical examinations and
screenings during pre-employment stages as well as annual medical examinations throughout their employment. The frequency
of these examinations surpasses the minimum regulatory requirements.
We also take proactive initiatives to ensure that all staff lead happy and healthy lives. For example, working closely with the HSE
Department, we continue to advise and implement various campaigns to raise awareness amongst employees of various health
related issues. A large focus over the past year has been on our annual Heat Stress Management Campaign. We raised awareness
of the importance of frequent rest breaks and importance of stating hydrated through the circulation of materials to all staff
alongside the providing of rest shelters, and dehydration kits.
